After its first successful outing of this year helping the ‘Friends of Manorbrook School’ raise funds for the school’s playground  facilities Thornbury Rotary’s Duck Race will be at the Thornbury Carnival on Saturday 6th July. Drop by and say hello……and buy a duck to enter the races!

And they’re off

Peter ‘Pudder’ Ball starts a heat of the Duck Race at last year’s Thornbury Carnival.

The Duck Race Draws a Crowd

Lots of people wanted to see the Duck Race in action. It created huge excitement as the ducks made their way down the course.

We have a winner!

Andrew Maxwell fishes out the first duck down the course and declares the winner of this heat. The first 10 ducks down the course make it through to the final.

Mia was very pleased with her prize!

Little things mean a lot. Seeing her duck win the race was great fun for Mia and she was very pleased with her choice of animal mug winning prize.
